Kirra's Pictures.

These first two pictures show Kirra age around one. They are the only pictures I could find that show her head tilt. At the time the pictures were taken we didn't even notice it, Although Paula started to think something was wrong around this time.

These four pictures are of Kirra in Oxford's Radcliffe Infirmary. The first one is the day of her operation with her surgeon Mr. Peter Richards. Total respect to that man. He has a casual laid back manner which is very calming and makes him very approachable. I wish I had a picture of Kirra's Anaesthetist Dr Sue Mann. I can't thank these people and their teams enough. They are truly amazing and I am glad Kirra had them to help her.
The second picture is Kirra 3 days after her operation back from The John Radcliffe Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. As you can see she quite happy about it.
The third picture is Kirra in Oxford College Park hours before her operation.
And finally  is Kirra with her sisters Zoe 13 and Gemma 9. I think this was the four day after her operation.

These three pictures are of Kirra's Nightmare.

Picture 1 shows the 4" scar down the back of Kirra's head. It might seem strange to put a picture of this on the web. However this site is here to help other people know what to expect should they be unfortunate enough to go through a similar ordeal.
Picture 2 is of Kirra in The John Radcliffe Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. Please note it is rare for children to go to ICU after this operation. Because Kirra stopped breathing under the anesthetic Dr Mann wanted Kirra's breathing monitored for 48 hours after her operation. Later on we discovered her breathing problem was due to the tumour putting pressure on the autonomic part of her brain.
Picture 3 takes you to the MRI scans, Very scary. My scanner quality is not very good but you should get the idea.

This last picture is 3 months after Kirra's Operation. Picture 1 shows how Kirra's neck looks now.
